Membership

What is Jutt Federation of Pakistan? +

Jutt Federation of Pakistan (JFP) is the community organisation of the Jutt biradari, connecting families across every tehsil of Pakistan and chapters worldwide. The platform maintains the membership register, clan pages, a private matrimonial service, classifieds, a business directory and democratic elections for office bearers.

Who can become a member? +

Any person of the Jutt biradari aged 18 or above can register — from any clan (gotra), any tehsil of Pakistan, or any overseas chapter city.

How much does membership cost? +

Membership is completely free. Optional paid services exist (such as Matrimonial Premium and featured ads), but joining and using the platform costs nothing.

How do I register? +

Click "Become a Member", enter your name, clan, tehsil (or overseas chapter), email and mobile number, then confirm your email with the 6-digit code we send you. The whole process takes about two minutes.

Why do I have to verify my email and mobile number? +

Your email is confirmed with a one-time code at registration, proving you are a real person. Your mobile number is verified later — by a one-time SMS code the first time you post a rishta profile, ad or notice, or take part in an election. This protects the matrimonial service, elections and the whole register from fake accounts.

What is a membership number? +

Every member receives a unique number like JFP-000123. It is your permanent identity in the federation — quote it when contacting the office or making payments.

What does "Verified Member" mean? +

A Verified Member has paid a one-time Rs. 1,000 verification fee and completed an identity check (KYC) against their CNIC or passport. Verified Members carry a green tick beside their name and are the only members who can post rishta profiles, place classified ads and stand for office in elections.

How do I become a Verified Member? +

From your dashboard press "Get verified": pay Rs. 1,000 by JazzCash or bank transfer, WhatsApp the payment proof with your membership number to +44 7563 888060, and once the payment is approved complete a two-minute identity check. The green tick is applied automatically.

Can I have more than one account? +

No. The system enforces one account per mobile number and per CNIC. Duplicate registrations are blocked automatically.

What is the minimum age to join? +

Eighteen years. Date of birth is required at registration and checked.

I live abroad — can I still join? +

Yes. Overseas members register with their city chapter (Houston, London, Dubai, Toronto and 30+ more). Chapters have their own office bearers, events and elections.

Can I change my tehsil or chapter later? +

Your unit is fixed at registration to protect election integrity. If you have genuinely relocated, contact your unit's office bearers or the federation office to request a transfer.

Is my personal information visible to everyone? +

You control it. You can opt out of the public directory entirely, show only your first-name initial, and your mobile number is hidden unless you choose to display it.

Clans & Structure

Which clans are included? +

Over 130 Jutt clans and gotras are registered — Cheema, Chattha, Sandhu, Warraich, Bajwa, Gill, Gondal, Sial, Tiwana, Kharal, Wattoo and many more, each with its own page and history.

My clan is missing — what do I do? +

Register with the closest match or "other", then inform the admin team via the Contact page. New clans are added quickly and you can be reassigned.

How is the federation organised? +

Central → Province → District → Tehsil inside Pakistan, and Country → City Chapter abroad. Membership and voting happen at tehsil/chapter level; every unit has its own page and office bearers.

What are Wings? +

Wings organise members by role across the whole country: Women Wing, Youth Wing, Farmer Wing, Doctor Wing and Business Wing. Each wing has its own office bearers, news and events.

What offices exist in each unit? +

Twenty-one standard offices in protocol order — Chief Patron, Patron, Chairman, President, Senior Vice President, Vice President, General Secretary, Finance Secretary, Information Secretary and others. Small units typically start with three or four.

Elections

Who can vote in elections? +

Every verified member votes in their own tehsil or chapter — one member, one vote per office, by secret ballot. The system records that you voted, never whom you voted for.

Who can stand for an office? +

Verified members of the unit who meet three requirements: the nomination fee, the minimum number of member endorsements, and the minimum referral rank set for that election.

What are the nomination fees? +

Tehsil and city-chapter level Rs 5,000; district level Rs 25,000; province level Rs 50,000; country level Rs 100,000. Fees are deposited to the Election Commission account and confirmed before scrutiny.

What are endorsements? +

During the nomination window, other verified members of the unit can second your nomination on the election page. Elections may require a minimum number of endorsements before a candidate is approved.

What is rank and why does it matter for elections? +

Rank counts the members who joined on your invitation. Badges are earned at 10 (Bronze), 25 (Silver), 50 (Gold), 100 (Platinum), 250 (Emerald), 500 (Diamond) and 1000 (Crown). Higher offices can require a minimum rank — leaders should be people who build the biradari.

How do I invite people and earn rank? +

From your dashboard, send an invitation by SMS or email. When that person registers — entering your mobile number as "invited by" — your rank increases automatically.

Are election results public? +

Yes. Once the Election Commission closes an election, results are published on the election page with vote counts, and winners appear as elected office bearers.

What happens before a unit is ready for elections? +

Office bearers are appointed centrally until the unit's verified membership crosses the election threshold. Every bearer's page shows whether they were elected or appointed.

Matrimonial (Rishta)

How does the matrimonial service work? +

Families post rishta profiles for their sons and daughters. Profiles show clan, age, education, profession and city — but never names, photos or phone numbers publicly.

When are photos and contact details shared? +

Only after both families agree: you send an interest, and if the other family accepts, contact details (and photo, if provided) are unlocked for both sides.

Who can post a rishta profile? +

Any verified member — for themselves or on behalf of a family member. Most profiles are posted by a parent or sibling, and each profile is reviewed by moderators before it goes live.

Is there a limit on sending interests? +

Free members can send 3 interests per month. Matrimonial Premium (Rs 2,500 for 3 months) gives unlimited interests and priority listing for your family's profiles.

How do I pay for Premium? +

Bank transfer or JazzCash, then send the receipt with your membership number. The office activates Premium within 24 hours. Card payment is planned.

Is the matrimonial service safe? +

Every profile is human-moderated, contact details stay private until mutual consent, and complaints are handled by the office. Never send money to anyone you meet through any rishta service.

Can I get alerts for new profiles? +

Yes. Set your filters (clan, age, country) on the matrimonial page and save them as an alert — you'll be emailed whenever a matching profile is approved.

Classifieds & Business

What can I advertise in classifieds? +

Property and land, vehicles, jobs, business services, livestock and general items. Ads are moderated, run for 60 days, and are free for members.

What is a featured ad? +

A featured ad is pinned at the top of the classifieds with a gold star for 7 days. Contact the office to feature your ad.

What is the Business Directory? +

A register of member-owned businesses — from surgical exporters in Daska to realtors in Houston. Listings run for one year and businesses offering a JFP member discount get a special badge.

How do I list my business? +

Log in, open Businesses → List Your Business, and fill the form with your details, category and any member discount. Listings appear after moderation.

Platform & Support

Is the website available in Urdu? +

Yes — click the اردو button in the header. The site switches to Urdu with proper right-to-left layout; one click returns to English.

Is there a mobile app? +

The website is a Progressive Web App: open it on your phone and choose "Add to Home Screen" — it installs like an app with the JFP icon.

How are donations used? +

Voluntary contributions (JazzCash or bank transfer, details on the Support page) fund hosting, maintenance and member services like SMS verification. Donations are not a charitable appeal and no goods or services are given in return.

How does the newsletter work? +

The federation emails members official newsletters — announcements, election updates and community news. You receive them as part of membership at the address you registered.

How do I contact the federation? +

Use the Contact Us page (queries go straight to the office CRM and are tracked until resolved), or WhatsApp via the button on the home page.

Who built and maintains this platform? +

The platform is developed and maintained by Softech UK for Jutt Federation of Pakistan, with member contributions supporting the running costs.
