Terms of Service

1. Who can join

Membership is open to people of the Jutt biradari aged 18 or over. You agree to provide accurate information, to keep your account secure, and not to create more than one account. We may suspend or remove accounts that breach these terms.

2. Membership and verification

Registering is free. A Paid Membership (Rs 1,000 per year) is required to browse and post rishta profiles and classified ads, list a business, send and answer matrimonial interests, vote in unit elections and claim office-bearer seats. Some services ask you to confirm your email and mobile number. Voting is open to Paid Members with a mobile number on file; each member and each phone number may vote only once. To stand for or hold office, a Paid Member must be verified (approved) by a federation admin; there is no separate verification fee. Verification is not an endorsement of any member by the federation.

3. Fees, contributions and donations

Where a fee, contribution or donation is requested (for example the Paid Membership, an office-bearer seat fee, an election panel fee, or a voluntary donation), it is a voluntary contribution to a community organisation paid to Jutt Federation of Pakistan to support running and safeguarding the platform. It is not a purchase of goods, an investment, or a regulated financial product, and no financial return is offered. Payments are made by bank transfer or mobile wallet to the details shown on the relevant page; you then send us a receipt reference. If you believe a charge is incorrect, contact us and we will review it. Always confirm you are on juttfederationofpakistan.org before sending any payment.

4. Content you post

You are responsible for the profiles, ads, listings and notices you post, and you confirm you have the right to post them. Rishta profiles and classified ads are published as soon as you post them; business listings and community notices are checked before they appear. Members can report content they believe breaks these terms. Do not post anything false, unlawful, offensive, or that impersonates another person or infringes someone’s rights. We may edit or remove content, take down any listing, and decline any submission.

You may edit your rishta profiles and classified ads at any time, and you may deactivate them. Deactivation is permanent: a deactivated listing cannot be reactivated, and members cannot delete listings themselves. Deactivated listings are permanently deleted one year after deactivation. If your Paid Membership lapses, your rishta profiles and classified ads are deactivated automatically. Classified ads expire 60 days after they are posted; editing an expired ad renews it.

5. Matrimonial service

The rishta service helps families connect within the biradari. Candidate names are always shown as initials, and phone numbers, WhatsApp numbers and photos are shared only after both families accept an interest. JFP is not a party to, and does not guarantee the outcome of, any introduction. Never send money to anyone you meet through any rishta service. Report any suspicious behaviour to the office.

6. Classifieds and business directory

Listings are placed by members. JFP is not a party to any sale or transaction between members, does not verify goods, prices or businesses, and is not responsible for dealings that result. Deal locally where possible, inspect before paying, and use your own judgement.

7. Elections

Unit elections are run under the federation’s rules — nomination, scrutiny and secret ballot. Votes are cast on WhatsApp only, one vote per member and per phone number. The system records that a member voted, never how they voted. Attempting to manipulate an election may lead to removal.

8. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the platform: no scraping, spamming, hacking, or attempts to access other members’ data. Use the contact details of other members only for the genuine purpose for which they were shared.

9. Liability

The platform is provided on a reasonable-efforts basis. To the extent permitted by law, JFP is not liable for losses arising from member-to-member dealings, third-party services, or interruptions to the service. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
